Should I Price Compare or Shop Around by Price Alone When Searching for a Sitter?

I occasionally receive messages asking me for my prices alone, and no additional information. The first thought that comes to mind is, "you wouldn't find a reputable daycare for your human children by searching this way, so why such little care when it comes to your furry ones?"

As previously mentioned above, qualifications are key; does this person have continuing education, are they animal CPR and first Aid trained and up to date with their certification, carry insurance, background checked, etc? These are linked to experience, quality, and putting care into what a professional sitter does versus a hobbyist sitter, such as a neighbor or a friend.

Pricing matches the quality of any professional you seek, whether that be your local home improvement professional, or a sitter such as myself. Choose the best and safest options when finding a sitter for your fur-children, professional experience and care are precious things that are not worth finding the best deal.
